One of my favorite ways to spend Sunday morning is eating dim sum in Chinatown. There is something so comforting about sitting at a big round table with friends, sipping some tea and gobbling dumplings, rice noodles and sticky rice. I simply love it. Even more than a big plate of pancakes and eggs. Today, I tried Red Egg with some friends. This is probably one of the most non-Asian friendly dim sum places in the city. They take reservations, have impeccably clean interior, has good service, and take credit card! The dim sum was pretty good but still doesn't compare to the places back home. One interesting thing about Red Egg is the Peruvian influenced menu. Not only do they serve Chinese food, there are Peruvian dishes! Sorry, no pictures. I was too tired this morning.
I'm still on the search for the best dim sum in Manhattan, but would come back here.
