I haven't had much of a chance to cook since I've been home. There is no doubt in my mind where my love of food stems from because my parents are pretty big foodies. Not a foodie in the same sense I am, but definitely always concerned with what their next meal will be. In any case, I have to fight my mom to even be able to cook a meal. Yesterday, I just had to scratch my cooking itch so I decided to make some curry. My mom's pantry is pretty well stocked but I still needed to hit Whole Foods to pick up a few things. An hour and a big mess in the kitchen later, I had more curry than I knew what to do with. Unfortunately, I couldn't find an authentic type of curry paste at Whole Foods and had to pick up a lame brand which didn't have much flavor or spice. I ended up using the entire jar. Note: don't buy "Thai Kitchen" brand spice products!

I have a theory that curry always tastes better the next day so we didn't even touch pot last night. Looking forward to it tonight though!
