Last night on the way home from work, I was chatting with my sister and whined that I was craving pizza. Instead of saying "go pick up a slice," she suggested we make some! I love my food obsessed family. She had some of the ingredients in her fridge at home already and offered to go pick up some dough from Trader Joe's. All I had to do was go home and wait. Spontaneous homemade pizza making is exactly what I needed. It was a long week of commuting and sitting uncomfortably in car seats, trains and desk chairs. Most people unwind with some wine or a workout but I unwind by cooking fun easy comfort foods. As I rolled out dough and chopped ingredients, she whipped up some pizza sauce. 30 minutes later, voila! We didn't have proper pizza pans or really any clue how to properly roll out dough, but I think they look and tasted pretty good!
